I’ve been touting the Department of Labor regulations on USERRA. These regulations are to USERRA what the FARs are to the Federal Aviation Act – except in a much more user friendly Q & A format.

The DOL, through its Veterans Employment and Training Support division (VETS), which administers USERRA, recently made a determination in favor of a pilot and against FedEx, in a case regarding a scenario in which the pilot informed FedEx of a pending Military Leave of Absence (MLA) by email.
