Because our previous Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) was negotiated while flying solely under a FAR Part 121 Supplemental certificate, nearly all of the contract provisions regarding flight time/duty time and rest were targeted to be more restrictive than those Supplemental Rules. Now that we are flying under three FAR Part 121 Rules; Supplemental, Domestic and Flag, there is a situation whereby our CBA is less restrictive than Domestic Rules.

We on the Scheduling Survey Team would like to thank those individuals who took the time to complete the 2011 Scheduling Survey. Of the 4,299 pilots eligible to take the survey, we received responses from 1,762 crewmembers or just under 41% of the crewforce. This is a statistically significant representation of the membership, and we are confident we can implement the necessary changes in the bidpacks based on your input.
