As many of you have unfortunately become aware during your career, pilots have been denied the ability to pick up trips due to “potential” lapses in qualification and currency that are “down the line” but prior to the desired trip. The former Negotiating Committee achieved progress in that regard in the 2015 CBA with the new Section 25.L.1.g. provision that prohibited a denial of a bid line adjustment for projected non-currency for landings provided certain parameters are met. Building on that improvement, and through the Ongoing Implementation Measures (OIM) in Section 11, we have reached further agreement with the Company.
A pilot will now be awarded CIA and MUV without regard to potential lapses in qualification or currency (e.g., tri-annual LMS, 3-in-3, segment currency, line check).
To view the entire OIM, please click here.
We appreciate the willingness and cooperation of FedEx Management to engage with the Negotiating Committee on this issue that has caused frustration and headaches for many of us.
