As you are probably
already aware, Japan was struck this morning with an 8.9 magnitude
earthquake which was then followed by a tsunami. As of now, all FedEx
crews are safe. NRT is closed as of now, but we have flights ready to be
launched for landing after curfew. The crew hotel has power and limited
phone service.
Hawaiian hotels are being vertically evacuated in anticipation of the
tsunami. There are presently no FedEx aircraft on the ground in HNL.
The Critical Incident
Response team is standing by if any assistance is needed.
