Know Your Benefits - September 20, 2011

Our past articles have explained the various provisions of Basic and Optional Life. The purpose of this article is to explain how each individual can determine their coverage levels for these plans as well as the FedEx MEC Life Plan.

In order to determine your coverage under Basic and Optional Life, log in to fedex.ehr.com as you normally do for health enrollment. Your 2011 benefit elections should be listed there with the amounts of coverage selected for these plans.

As for the FedEx MEC Life Plan, members may log in to the MEC website at fdx.alpa.org. After log on, click on your name at the top right corner of the page. This will load a page that should have a box with your name, council, and contact information inside. By clicking on the Insurance tab in the top right corner of that box, you can review your coverage in the FedEx MEC Life Plan.

Hopefully, this review was helpful. Each member will need to know their current coverage levels and determine whether those levels are sufficient for their needs before making a decision on coverage for the upcoming FedEx MEC Life Plan enrollment. In our next Know Your Benefits, we will be explaining the coverage available in the FedEx MEC Life Plan.
