Vice Chairman's Message - 12/12/16

Months ago, I told you about Hope House, a local Memphis daycare that provides high quality early childhood education in a safe, loving environment and supportive social services to children affected by HIV and poverty in order to enhance the quality of their lives. The children who attend Hope House were born into a world that is indescribable. Hope House began with a group of women from the Junior League of Memphis who shared a vision of opening a daycare for families whose lives have been impacted by HIV. Many of the services Hope House provides these families is something we take for granted every day—clean clothes, hot meals and an environment filled with compassion and love.

This week, we will make our annual visit to Hope House. We will bring with us holiday meals for each family currently enrolled, clothing and toys, accompanied by a monetary donation to Hope House to support their efforts. Our Community Outreach Coordinator, First Officer Amy Allen, has been hard at work coordinating this tremendous effort on behalf of all FedEx pilots; I am asking each of you to donate just $1 to the FedEx Pilots' Charitable Fund by clicking here. If we all do that, we will be able to present Hope House with a $4,000 check to help offset the cost of running the daycare. Consider this request a two-day blitz as we will be visiting them this Thursday, December 15th. Please donate today.

Thank you,

John
