Each year, ALPA’s Membership Administration department performs a dues reconciliation for each pilot. After the annual earnings file is received from the company, each pilot’s annual obligated earnings and dues obligation are calculated and compared with the DCO received and/or the annual estimated billed dues (for your reference the annual dues process and a list of income exempt from dues may be found in the ALPA Constitution and By-laws, Article IX, Section 3 and 4). FDX Pilots receiving a reconciliation will be notified via email and will receive a May invoice reflecting the change.

As noted in the company communication dated 04/17/2017, FedEx did not deduct dues on ‘separate’ checks issued from June 1st through December 31st 2016. This resulted in reconciliation adjustments for many of our pilots. The company has corrected the configuration error; however, your MEC is sensitive to the impact an unexpected reconciliation obligation may have on your family finances. Enclosed are three ways to remit payment should you receive an adjustment.

  1. Payment by check using the remittance coupon and self-addressed envelope provided with your monthly billing statement.
  2. Payment via a bill payer service through your financial institution.
    1. Account Number: Your account number is your ALPA number.
    2. Address: Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l 535 Herndon Parkway, Herndon, VA 20170
  3. By contacting Membership Administration and signing an arrangement plan (ARP) that will allow you to pay the obligation over time.
    1. Payroll deductions for ARP’s are made once a month
    2. Monthly payment amount will be no more than $200, unless you request a higher monthly payment amount.

If you have any questions regarding the reconciliation, please download a copy of your December 15th and 30th 2015 earnings statements, as well as your 2016 final earnings statement, and forward them to the Membership Administration Department at As you may know, your ALPA membership account information may be reviewed by visiting the “My Account” section of the website. Please note that, if you receive an adjustment, you must take one of the three actions outlined above.
