Fellow pilots,
It appears the company has discontinued its practice communicated in FCIF 21-0308 to revise trips with front end deadheads into Singapore (SIN). They are instead requiring you to obtain a negative PCR test within 72-hours of the departure of your final leg into SIN.
We have asked the company to provide more information on where and how to get tested. We will evaluate further once that information is received. For those who get tested at the SFO airport, please be advised that limited test times might leave you there significantly well in advance of your scheduled deadhead. If that occurs, please take note of your time spent, submit an InSite requesting compensation for the same, and forward any response received to your InSite to Contract Enforcement via DART. If you have any other issues concerning testing, please contact the Duty Officer.
ALPA is pressing management to properly address this issue. Please watch for further updates.
Fraternally,
