  • Our Council 7 Agenda:
    • Officer Introductions/Reports
    • Old Business
    • New Business
    • Retirement Q&A
    • The how-to process of getting work done through your council

As YOUR Reps, we continually work behind the scenes for you. We are not experts in every specific field, we simply support our pilots and help them reach the appropriate expert for the particular situation.
Some of what we do:

  • Direct pilots to appropriate staff members or committees
  • Answer pilot’s detailed emails (preferably with a phone call)
  • Listen to pilot issues and try to find ways to make improvements
  • Stay up-to-date with all MEC related work
  • “Attend” multiple MEC Conference Calls
  • Attend quarterly MEC week-long meetings in MEM
  • Conduct the Business of the LEC and facilitate the process of making changes to our Union that our members desire.

Contrary to what some think, we are volunteers and are not on full-time FPL (Flight Pay Loss). We do this job simply because we want to have a positive influence on all our careers. Please let us know what else we can do.

EOP and other unilateral decisions - Referencing the latest message from the Negotiating Committee, we are troubled by the company’s lack of respect of ALPA as the collective bargaining representative. Their conduct is not acceptable if we are to have a meaningful working relationship.

We stand firmly behind our Negotiating Committee.

Please try to make it to the meeting April 10th!
