Council 22 Message - 4/4/19

Members of Council 22,
Our next Joint Council Meeting will take place at the Germantown Center on April 10, 2019. The meeting will start at 10:30 a.m. and will run through 2:00 p.m. This month, your LEC is responsible for hosting the meeting and we would like to put you, the pilot, back in the pilot’s seat. Please join us if you are available. There will be two vans with FDX MEC logos available to shuttle you to and from the AOC and the Germantown Center.
During this meeting, we will introduce the new MEC officers and present a brief overview about your committees and what they do for you as a union member. We will be reviewing our union’s past and then look at an alternate example of unionism with our special guests. The Negotiating Committee will brief the current state of negotiations for the Pilot’s Stabilized Pension Plan (PSPP).
These meetings are for you and your fellow pilots, and this is an opportunity for each of you to input your vision for the future of your union. Contract 2021 is right around the corner; having and creating a unified position going forward is critical to this process. Show up and be a part of your future.
We look forward to seeing each and every one of you at this meeting. You can’t make a difference if your thoughts and voice aren’t heard. Come to the meeting, bring another pilot and be heard.
